What I'm Changing In 2020

Hi fashion babes!
Today is all about reinventing yourself and becoming a better, more efficient person in 2020. I know, I know... You might be wondering why I'm doing this post now and it's already March. Trust me, there is a good reason for this. Today's post is not about some vague New Year's resolutions; it's about concrete choices I have been making since the beginning of this year which I believe will bring me a lot of positive vibes and events in 2020.

Do it now!

Listen, I'm gonna be honest - sometimes I'm the queen of procrastination. Haha! I think a lot of us can agree that we often put things off, especially if we don't really feel like doing them. I feel like I was procrastinating so much in 2019, and I only started changing it a bit as the year was coming to an end. This year I really made it my mission to do the things I want to do as soon as possible, and to do things that push me out of my comfort zone. We would all be able to do so much more if we just stopped procrastinating! At the end of the day, it all about self-control and self-motivation

Quality over quantity

We are all guilty of buying too much stuff sometimes. To be more specific, a lot of cheap stuff. I am definitely guilty of doing that a lot in the past, but I am trying to change it. There were many occasions where I would buy something super cheap (especially online!) just to take some outfit photos and I would never wear that item again! How stupid is that?! It's such a waste of money, resources, material and everything. Some of these items I used to order looked so bad in person that I didn't even want to wear them; but hey, they were good enough for an Instagram photo or an outfit post on my blog. Absolutely ridiculous!

There is nothing wrong with buying cheap clothes from THOSE websites (you know which ones I mean), but when you buy from them, make sure that it's at least something you really love and that you will wear at least a few times. Don't buy stuff you don't like just because this is a current trend and you feel pressured to have it even though you don't actually like it. Personally, I have made a decision to try to buy more high quality items this year, especially bags and shoes. Now, I'm not saying I will not buy from the high street or anything; don't get me wrong. I love the high street! For example, look how cute this polka dot puff sleeve top is from Femme Luxe! This is really on trend at the moment, but also something I know I will wear many times. From now on, every time I buy something, I will actually think about what I'm buying and if I can see myself getting a lot of use out of that item. Also, I will take into consideration the material the item is made of and if it looks durable.

I already started implementing these new rules when I didn't buy almost anything super cheap or low quality during the Winter sale! I made a YouTube video about what I bought during the Winter sale, and you can check it out HERE.

Move it!

Working out is hard for a lot of people, but I think the hardest thing is actually adding regular exercise into your daily routine. At least, that's how it is for me. Exercise is a big part of staying happy and positive in your everyday life (I talk more about it in this post), but it's still so hard to actually move your a*s and do it! I love doing yoga for example, but sometimes the most difficult part for me is to actually put on my workout clothes than the exercise itself! LOL! Sometimes I just don't feel like changing my clothes a million times a day, so I'm just like: "Well, okay, nothing will happen if I miss one day." And then one day turns into three days, three days turn into a week, and so on. The best thing is to do what you want to do right now! And if you have time for exercise at this moment, do it right now. Just move it!

Try new things

I am someone who always says she wants to do a million things and then never ends up doing them. I really hate that and I want to change it ASAP. Sure, there are some things that can't happen maybe right at this moment, but I'm sure there are also plenty of things that can! by trying new things, I mostly mean doing a lot of adventurous activities I have wanted to do for a long time but never got the chance. 2020 is the year to do as much as possible!

What do you want to change in 2020? Let me know!
xoxo Sienna
