Two days ago I had the chance to attend the presentation of Essie, the famous nail polish brand that finally arrived to Croatia. I've been listening about Essie for so long, and I know bloggers and vloggers all over the world love it, so I finally have the chance to try it myself. The event was full of celebritites, fashion journalists and bloggers - a lot of people were obviously very eager to see Essie nail polishes in Croatia. The Cookie Factory, one of my favorite coffee shops in Zagreb, was the host of this fun event.
We got the most amazing gift bag ever - 16 Essie nail polishes in a cute little white suitcase. So adorable, and I love every single color!

Prije dva dana sam imala priliku prisustvovati prezentaciji Essieja, poznatog branda lakova za nokte, koji je konačno došao u Hrvatsku. Slušam o Essieju već jako dugo, i znam da ga obožavaju blogeri i vlogeri iz cijeloga svijeta, tako da konačno taj brand mogu i ja isprobati. Event je bio pun poznatih osoba, modnih novinara i blogera - očito su mnogi ljudi jedva čekali vidjeti Essie lakove u Hrvatskoj. The Cookie Factory, jedan od mojih najdražih kafića u Zagrebu, bio je domaćin ovog zabavnog eventa.
Dobili smo najbolji gift bag ikad - 16 Essie lakova u malom bijelom slatkom koferu. Tako preslatko, i obožavam svaku boju!

These photos were taken about a week ago, and as you can see, I'm wearing a knitted poncho. Why, you ask? Well, it's been so cold here, that I don't even feel like it's June already! It's constantly raining, it's cold, cloudy and dark... Not your typical June, right?! The weather is supposed to get better in the next couple of days, so I hope I'll be wearing my Summer colthes soon :)

Ove slike su nastale prije otprilike tjedan dana, i kao što vidite, nosim pleteni pončo. Zašto, pitate se? Pa ovdje je toliko hladno da uopće nemam osjećaj da je već lipanj! Stalno pada kiša, hladno je, oblačno i tamno... Ne baš tipičan lipanj, zar ne? Vrijeme bi se trebalo poboljšati tijekom sljedećih par dana, tako da se nadam da ću uskoro nositi ljetnu odjeću :)

We usually don't think about special occasion dresses in our day-to-day lives because we just don't have anywhere to wear them to. But all of a sudden, special occasions in our lives happen, like for example, weddings, proms, high school reunions, and we have nothing to wear! Frustrating, right?

I think it's always good to have one or two dresses in your closet that look a bit more sophisticated. In this case, you will always be ready for whatever life throws at you. Most people think that special occasion dresses have to be expensive, which is so not true. There are a lot of online shops that offer beautiful bridesmaids, prom and wedding dresses at really affordable price! One of my favorites is definitely PersunMall, just becauses they have a huge selection of special occasion and wedding dresses, and the best part is the prices are a real bargain! Also, I think it's so cute that you can actually see the customer testimonials on their site. Various girls upload their personal pictures where they are wearing PersunMall dresses, and they write where they wore them, how they felt in them, and so on. It's very helpful for new customers, don't you think?

We all know white is probably the most popular color of this season. Everything is white: shoes, bags, clothes, sunglasses.... Svi znamo da je bijela vjerojatno najpopularnija boja ove sezone. Sve je bijelo: cipele, torbe, odjeća, sunčane naočale... Ja već dosta dugo tražim savršenu bijelu torbu po normalnoj cijeni, i konačno sam ju našla. Pošto sam nedavno dogovorila malu suradnju sa brandom Nohaa, odmah sam znala da ću izabrati bijelu torbu. I went to Boris Pavlin's showroom yesterday, together with some of my fellow bloggers, because ItGirl organized a very fun event in collaboration with the designer. Boris held a little ''lecture'' for us, in which he spoke about fashion in Croatia, how his dresses are made, and so on. I have to say this was one of the most educational events I have ever attended! I respect him even more as a designer now. All of his dresses are made of pure silk and lace, and everything is handmade. That means every single one of his dresses is unique. I think I don't have to say more, just look at the pictures and you'll understand the perfection of Boris Pavlin's design.

Jučer sam išla u showroom Borisa Pavlina, zajedno sa još nekim blogericama, jer je portal ItGirl organizirao jedan jako zabavan event u suradnji sa dizajnerom. Boris je držao malo ''predavanje'' za nas, u kojem je govorio o modi u Hrvatskoj, kako se rade njegove haljine, i tako dalje. Moram vam reći da je ovo bio jedan od najedukativnijih evenata na kojima sam ikad bila! Sad ga još više poštujem kao dizajnera. Sve njegove haljine se rade od čiste svile i čipke, i sve je ručno rađeno. To znači da je svaka od haljina unikat. Mislim da ne moram više ništa reći, samo pogledajte slike i shvatit ćete savršenstvo dizajna Borisa Pavlina.

A couple of days ago I went to the presentation of the new Hoegl shoe collection for Spring 2013. The inspiration for the new collection was St. Tropez, so the atmosphere was very French, including music, and the shoes very feminine and chic. If you haven't heard of Hoegl before, it is a high guality Austrian shoe brand, that puts emphasis on the classic women's shoes. Enjoy the pics!
